Friday was National Public Garden Day, and to celebrate, Lauritzen Gardens is free on that day every year. Last year we visited the gardens on Garden Day and decided to continue the tradition this year. Asher was less than thrilled with the idea...until we arrived. He loved the big trains overlooking I-80, and he absolutely loved the train exhibit inside the gardens. He was not a fan of the flowers or the walking, but we made do with shoulder rides (yes, I can carry a 4 year old on my shoulders!). It was a fun, peaceful morning. And, we left just as everyone else was arriving. What a beautiful place to visit.
