Our Trip To Florida

Our outing for this week turned out to be our little escape to our version of Florida at the local YMCA! I intended on just paying the drop in rate at the YMCA that is located really close to our home. However, they suggested a 3 day pass at check in. I can see why...it is really nice and fun there! They have a lot of activities for kids and the pool area was nice and warm.

It took a few minutes for Addison and Asher to warm up to the swimming idea. Before long, though, they were like 2 little fish. With that said, Addi is quite hesitant. She tests the depth by sticking her little feet into the water off of the side of the pool and feeling her way to the bottom. If she can touch - she jumps in. Asher, well, he is the complete opposite. He walks up to the side and jumps. Luckily, I stayed in the shallow end so he would only jump near me. He took many dunks under the water. He would just stand up, wipe his face off, and continue to play. They both liked playing with the boats we brought and running in and out of the pool. While they swam, an older woman approached us asking if this was our little Florida? Why yes, yes it is. You like? We were the only ones in the kiddie section of the pool but many classes went on during our play time on the other side of the pool. Addison and Asher liked watching the the water aerobics classes. After over 2 hours of swimming, I was exhausted and could not stop yawning. I had to talk them into going home!

It was a fun morning, and we hope to take Alivia to play with us sometime soon. Who knows, maybe we will even convince Daddy to swim along with us!
