Yes, we still celebrate our kids' baptisms, and today was Alivia's day to celebrate.
We had a busy week of getting baptism anniversary gifts as Chris' Godchildren celebrated their anniversaries this week and Alivia's is today. I found the most adorable little book for Alivia, "Where Does God Live?" by Holly Bea. It follows a little girl and how she discovers the answer to the question, "Where does God Live?" Alivia was excited to get her new book, and we read it together tonight before she went to bed. Alivia also got to select what I baked today, and she wanted chocolate chip bars (which I found weird since I do not think I have ever made them for her!).
Alivia is learning and growing a lot in our Catholic Faith as she is about to enter her second week of Catholic Formation "camp." It is a 2 week course instead of the year long once a week education found in most Catholic Churches. She is attending in the mornings, giving us the afternoons to play. Unfortunately, she spent the first week of class going all but one day SICK. She has said that she is having fun and learning about God.
Here's to learning more about God - Happy Baptism Anniversary, Alivia!
