The Omaha Symphony Presents...

...Peter and the Wolf !

Sunday, April 11, 2010 2:00 PM
Today the girls, Chris and I were lucky to attend Peter and the Wolf at the Holland Performing Arts Center. I won 4 tickets, and we were all quite excited to go. After a busy weekend of painting and staying with Grandma and Grandpa (for the girls and Asher), we were looking forward to some relaxation. Asher stayed with Grandma and Grandpa at the house while we went to the Symphony. We did not think he would sit still for the performance.

The Story was narrated by KEVT's Rob McCartney. The girls loved the Theater Ballet dancers as they brought the characters of the story to life. Addison liked the wolf and wants to be the wolf next year. Alivia liked it when the wolf ate the duck and feathers came out of his mouth. The symphony was fabulous and we enjoyed the entire experience. I thought we took our kids everywhere...but this is one place I would not have thought of if we had not have won tickets. It was an amazing experience that we will for sure remember.

Want to attend a kids performance of the symphony? We would totally recommend it. Peter and the Wolf was only an hour, which was the perfect amount of time for kids (Addison was just getting antsy when the performance was over. So perfect for kiddos ages 3 and up probably). One thing we learned, no food and no pictures within the performance hall. This includes pictures before the production begins. Their are no signs that I noticed, so I took a number of pictures (and so was everyone around us) before they told me no camera inside. There is really nothing to bring except to be ready for a fabulous time!
