Preschool Dilemma

Oh...not another one. Yes, I have another dilemma. The dilemma...where should we send Addison to preschool next year?

Option 1: The Gingerbread House
This is where Addison currently goes. She loves it there. Alivia went there for 2 years and now Addison has gone there for 1 year. We are happy with how prepared Alivia was for Kindergarten.
Pros: Happy with the curriculum, we know it is a good preschool, love the cooking class portion, we are more than likely to get next fall since she is already enrolled and her sister went there 2 years.
Cons: It is 15 miles and 40 minutes from our home. Gees! We hope to enroll her in 3x a week preschool, so that is a lot of driving and time in the car for Addison, Asher and I, but especially Asher and I. EXPENSIVE! I never really priced around - but this place is golden in comparison.

Option 2: Sacred Heart Preschool.
This is the preschool associated with the Catholic Church near our home. We were initially so excited that she could have a Christian preschool since Addison is not in Sunday School here (Sunday school is on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30! Addison is usually asleep on the couch at 6:30).

Pros: Associated with Church, closer to our home by far, $50 less per month in tuition!
Cons: Addison will more than likely NOT get into the Monday-Wednesday-Friday morning program. The director suggested that she attend the afternoon session or the Tuesday-Thursday morning session. Humm. The director almost guaranteed that Addison would not get into the morning session because members are first, and then it is based on years of membership. Clearly, we just moved here, so we are not priority. From the sounds of it, many members have been members since birth (the parents that is), so they have 30 year on us! Addison is still a big napper and I do not see that changing. Even if it did, she would not learn as well in the afternoons as she does in the morning. Additionally, Addison and Alivia would get out of school at the same time, which would be a problem. And, Asher would not get much of a nap if Addi had afternoon preschool. Now, what is the different between 2day and 3 day, really, in the grand scheme of things? The director said they do not see much difference. However, Alivia had 3 day, so I really would like to see Addison in the 3 day program.

The decision as of now? I have enrolled her in the Gingerbread House since the deadline was today. We plan on enrolling her in the Sacred Heard as well, when their enrollment comes up. We hope to get her in there if room allows. But, if not, it will be back in the car and back to driving again.

Oh, and this is just preschool. Imagine the decision of selecting a college!
