Addison's 1/2 Birthday

Today Addison is 3 1/2 years old! Amazing! She is growing out of her little baby body, slowly. However, she is still our little baby girl.

Addison has changed a lot in the last 6 months. She went back to having her taggies with our moving struggles. And, we have not taken them away yet. She says a lot, "Mommy, I do not want my taggie anymore." But, when it comes time for bed, she asks for it back. She is not taking it to preschool in her backpack anymore and is rarely seen with it during the day. So, she is getting better. The move also stressed her in other obvious ways. She started having accidents at night. Just recently, after all other efforts had failed, Chris told her that she would have to get a "pee pee shot" if she could not stop going potty at night. She, amazingly enough, has not gone potty since! Whatever works, right Daddy? Addison talks a lot about the old house..."Mommy, we played this game at the old house," or "They visited us at the old house." She used to say how much she missed the old house, but she has stopped saying this now that we are not going to our old neighborhood daily for school. She does like her new room, but she would really like to see it purple. We hope to get her room done first, replacing her big toddler bed with the full bed it turns into with new bedding. Someday.

Addison has been going to preschool Tuesday and Thursday mornings since the fall and has been doing well. She is very social and likes to learn. Addison likes to play with Alivia and Asher (when Alivia is not available), play pretend with her babies, and cuddle. She likes to call Asher "Lucas," which is their cousins name. It really annoys me because Asher is beginning to get confused as to what his name is! So, I call her Suzie when she calls Asher Lucas. :) Addison really likes to eat off of the Spiderman plate and eat out of a purple cereal bowl. Believe me, this is worth noting if you want her day to go smoothly. We have really fancy dinnerwear around here. Addison is sleeping good at night from 8pm until 7am and then takes a nap from 12:30-2:30 on good days. She will not take a nap when Alivia is home, but she still really needs one. Addison is still a big cryer and gets teary over just about everything. Her cry is so loud it sets our doorbell off...seriously! Addison is our best eater, and she likes eating best on someone's lap. Her fav foods are veggies. She will still sometimes eat her broccoli over a cookie. At breakfast she prefers special K or Total cereal over cheeries. Funny girl. She continues to love clothes, but sticks with her one outfit with leggings a day. We lost all of her clothes in our move, so she has little to chose from now. (Yes, we lost her entire tub of clothes. So, Addison only has what we took with us to the apartment. We have unloaded everything here and no clothes. We hope to comb over each of our parents homes soon to see if they have them because there were a lot of neat new things in there! I am so upset about this and so is Addison).

Addison's favorites:
Toy: Baby dolls (and she has many), Food: steamed broccoli and carrots with cheese. Dessert: Cupcakes. Color: Purple. TV show: Curious George. Movie: Alvin and the Chipmunks. Favorite place to visit: Addison said the zoo when I asked her, but she loves the Omaha Children's Museum, too. Clothes: Feet PJs, and anything with leggings. Headbands.

Addison's dislikes: Having her hair put in pony or piggie tails, preferring headbands, and wearing her winter coat.

It will not be long and we will be celebrating her 4th birthday. We will enjoy her as a 3 year old until then...and love every moment.
