Today was Alivia's first day at Papillion's Bell Elementary. After taking it easy yesterday, Alivia was still tired and did not want to get up this morning. With that said, once she was up, she quickly got ready for school, ate her breakfast, then put on her coat and waited for Chris to come home so we could all drive up to school. Bell just opened this fall, so it is really new much like her old school was. We (Chris, Alivia, Addison, Asher and I) arrived to school rather early (7:35) for the 8:15 early start (her old school began at 8:50). Alivia was able to meet her new teacher, Mrs. Sindelar, the principal, and the music teacher. We waited in line with her to go to class and helped her get adjusted to the new Kindergarten classroom and classmates. Alivia was quiet and did turn back as we left. We are hopeful that she will do okay, but will miss her classmates from Standing Bear. She is already saying how she misses specific kiddos from Standing Bear. We are hopeful she will make new friends in no time...just in time for new play dates!
