Okay, so it is a little premature to review the entire series since I have not yet completed it. But hey, I like it so far!
Chris and I recently watched the Hunger Games movie. The premise...is disturbing. 24 tributes, ages 12-18, fight to the death annually in what is called the Hunger Games. I avoided the movie as I found the idea plain crazy. Now, having said that, although disturbing, I liked the story of the movie. I liked it so much, in fact, that Chris bought me the Trilogy to read on my iPad.
I started one week ago. I could be done. I am saving to finish the last book in the series on my airplane ride (to visit Chris in rainy Florida). The first 2 books I could not put down as I wanted to find out what happened next. Now, the third book, I do not like as well as the first two. Just saying. I am still quite intrigued and have to know how it ends. I do like the first one so much better than the movie, though.
Funny, this book is for young adults. Um, how young are we talking? I'm not sure it is appropriate for "young readers" to read about kids killing one another. Seriously, isn't there something better to read?
Again, I am off reading something I normally would not read, and I am liking it. I like the trilogies so far (Hunger Games, Fifty Shades). I guess I really do not want to read about Steve Jobs (his autobiography has been waiting and waiting in my que to read for months).
Any suggestions on what to read next?

WOW! You are breezing through them! The third one is better than the second. The first is my FAVORITE for sure. Enjoy the last one! (Young adults, I am guessing Teens??? nah, tweens is what the audience was supposed to be. It would be good for Lord of the Flies type discussions... Whatever it takes to get kids to love to read, I guess. :) )

Oh, I finished, on the plane home. I was sorta disappointed with how depressing the last book was. I mean, seriously! What a downer. But, all and all, I liked the serious. Now I feel really lonely without my evening escape from reality to keep me awake all night. So, I started reading the Steve Jobs book. :)
