Home Made Play Doh

For some snow day fun, Addison's preschool teacher suggested making play doh. That is just what we did!

Preschool Play Dough Recipe

1 c flour
1 c water
1/2 c salt
2 T cream of tartar
1 T oil
Food coloring or packet of unsweetened kool aid mix (adds color and scent)

Mix together, cook on low temperature stirring constantly.  Cook until it is "slick" and moves away from the edge of the pan.  Cool a bit then knead dough a few times.  Keep sealed in Ziploc bag (we refrigerate ours). Takes just minutes to make, and the kids play for it for hours!

Hi! We just finished making play dough too! How funny! I agree that it will last them hours of fun. Great idea for a snowy day when we are stuck inside!
