Chris' vacation started yesterday. By 2 or 3 o'clock in the afternoon (after going to the children's museum in the morning, and then he worked out during "quiet" time while I ran errands, Chris said he was bored! Yes, that's right, bored. Okay, I have been home for nearly a year now and have never, and I mean NEVER, said I was bored. Seriously! There is ALWAYS something to do! There is usually laundry to do or laundry to put away, toys to pick up, toys to organize, closets to organize and clean up, food to prepare, cleaning to do - bathrooms (and we have 4), etc, etc, etc. BORED?
Today Chris helped me by taking the kiddos to visit Grandma Kathy and Henry while I cleaned up for Asher's party. I booked it through the house knowing that they could be home anytime! When they got home, I got the babies to bed (Alivia was in school) and got to baking my pumpkin muffins and making a pretzel jello salad (I will try and post the recipe later but it is a total pain to make I think). Meanwhile, Chris watched me, eating chips, reading the paper, eating more chips. :) LOL. Oh, come on. :)
So, when the doorbell rang and a packaged was delivered, I about jumped out of my skin. No, it was not an early Christmas present (okay, I guess it could be). It was a new faucet for the main level bathroom that I got for a steal (and I mean a $200 and some odd dollar savings) on EBay. I am totally excited about it! And, it gave Chris something to do! Yeah!! A cure for Daddy boredom!
Now, I think I need a vacation. :) I wanna be bored.
