Addison has been out of preschool for a few weeks now. The transition to having her at home all the time was rather simple. Addison and Asher play well together typically. It was just easier not having to take her to school.
Now that Alivia is out for summer, we are trying to find our summer groove. We were bus over the weekend, Monday was Memorial Day, so yesterday was the challenging day. We have stayed home both days, which is highly unusual for us.
Monday we took a morning bike ride around the lake, then I mowed the yard while the kids played. Then we visited the local library to sign up for the summer reading program. Addison and Asher crashed for their afternoon nap, being the first nap for them in several days. Alivia and I kept busy outside playing. After nap, Chris got out the pool and the kids played in that. We now need a new pool.
Today brought more of the same. I needed to catch up on laundry inside really bad. So, I did not want to go too far from home. Alivia had a playdate with Zoe, so Addison, Asher and I took a little bike ride. Asher took his first bike ride away from home! Way to go Asher! We played outside the rest of the morning until Alivia came home for lunch.
We are slowly getting our groove on. We are looking forward to the pool we want to join opening and getting out and about. I think tomorrow we will head out and do something fun.
Until then...
