Disguising Tom Turkey

Another weekend, another Kindergarten Family homework assignment. This time the assignment was to decorate a turkey so he does not get eaten for Thanksgiving. :)  Asher, being the Superhero lover that he is, wanted to make his a Superman Turkey.

Off to Hobby Lobby I went, to collect feathers, eye balls, a napkin for the cape and more. Daddy and Asher did this project together (I did the shopping :) ). Daddy even got a little sad as they decorated our last Turkey. All our turkeys are growing up!

Anyway, it turned out amazing! I can't wait to eat lunch with Asher on Friday and see all the other decorated Turkeys at school.

Here is Asher's Superman Turkey.

Did your kiddos do this project? What did you make? Come back and post a picture! We would love to see.

For more ideas, here are the girls' turkey projects, too.

Disguising The Turkey Project Take 2

Remember Alivia's project in Kindergarten when she had to disguise Tom Turkey so he would not be eaten at Thanksgiving Dinner? Okay, skip ahead 2 years and to a completely different school and we have the same project with Addison!

Alivia decorated her little turkey as a clown. When we asked Addison how she wanted to decorate her turkey, she wanted hers to look like Spider Girl!

Taking advantage of Addison being home bound with strep throat, Chris and Addison set out to disguise the turkey to look like Spider Girl. Look at their amazing creation!! Again, I can hardly tell it is a turkey!! :)

And here was Alivia's finished project 2 years ago...
UPDATE: Here is the disguised turkey in 2013!!
