Asher gets to go home today at noon after successfully being off oxygen for 24 hours. We will continue nebulizer treatments at home for a time every 6 hours now (they were hourly, then every 2, 3, 4 and now every 6 hours. He is actually on Xopenex!), and he will go back for a checkup next week. For now, he is just on the heart monitor and his IV is hep locked. I have had many ask how much he weighs now. He was 7lb 11oz on Friday morning and this am was the same weight including the wires, monitor and IV board. I am sure he will become a hungry boy again once he feels better. Just a few hours until he is back home where he belongs, just in time for 2008.
